Abstract

Abstract THERAPEUTIC COMMUNICATION IN THE REHABILITATION PROCESS OF DRUG RESIDENTS IN FOUNDATION SATU BUMI PEKANBARU Bima Rahmadani 169110131 The purpose of this study was to find out the therapeutic communication process in improving the self-quality of drug addiction rehabilitation residents and to see the factors that hinder the occurrence of therapeutic communication between counselors and rehabilitation residents conducted at Yayasan Satu Bumi Pekanbaru. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative, where the researcher explains and describes the findings. The subjects in this study were counselors, residents and alumni at Yayasan Satu Bumi Pekanbaru. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis method used in this research is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The data validity used triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the therapeutic communication process to improve self-quality has a program flow stage starting from screen & intake, then continued with the detoxification program, then the entry unit and primary program and finally the Re-Entry program. Resistance is a factor that hinders therapeutic communication with residents. The most common resistance was the resident's reluctance to do counseling due to the patient's mood or feelings. And several other influencing factors such as special counseling rooms or open spaces in counseling can influence therapeutic communication with residents.
