Abstract

Increased domestic energy demand and high oil prices advanced stages require dewatering technology (EOR) are absolutely to be implemented in old oil fields that still have quite a lot of residual oil in the reservoir. EOR methods can optimize draining old oil fields where oil is able to produce up to 70% of OOIP. One EOR method, which is carried out are chemical flooding. Chemical flooding can be done by using a surfactant. In laboratory studies consists of four processes, namely the manufacture of artificial cores, testing the physical properties of artificial cores and curde oil, test spontaneous imbibition test to the core to see the effect of surfactant solution to the displacement process, As well as assay using a contact angle goniometer tool. Core used manifold sandstone rock with a ratio of 5: 2 for sand and cement and additional water as much as 10% of the total weight of dry matter. Wettabilitas test is to determine the effect of type of surfactant P-25 and DMO 21041 and brine salinity concentration (5000 ppm, 10.0000 ppm, 15,000 ppm, 20,000 ppm and 25,000 ppm) matching and optimum to apply on sandstone with a contact angle method. Based on the results of the research laboratory, which created artificial cores have porosity and permeability values were excellent. And also, the physical properties curde oil also showed good quality at a value of 31.29 API and viscosity of 11,45 cp. Wettabilitas test conducted obtain the optimum value of P-25 Surfactant 0.3% and the optimum salinity of 20,000 ppm Concentrations with a contact angle of 109° (Water wet) to 76° (oil wet), whereas with 0.3% surfactant 24101 DMO obtain optimum salinity at a concentration of 15,000 ppm.
