Abstract

The role of teachers and parents is fundamental in supporting the child's home learning process. Both must build collaboration to maximize children's learning activities. The creativity of teachers in presenting interesting and fun online learning will greatly determine the amount of attention students have towards online learning activities. This research aims to find out the role of parents and teachers in home learning assistance for students in Grades IV and V of elementary schools affected by Covid19. And To find out what are the factors inhibiting the role of Parents and Teachers in Home Learning Assistance for Students of Grades IV and V elementary schools affected by Covid19. Sampling techniques are done purposive sampling, with a sample of five students. Data is collected through interviews, documentation, and literature studies, and analyzed qualitatively descriptively. The results showed the Role of Parents in Home Learning Assistance for Students of Grades IV and V elementary schools affected by Covid-19 has been done very well. Parents of students have provided adequate learning facilities for children to follow online learning at home to the maximum. In addition, parents also supervise children's learning activities by monitoring the child's learning process at home and supervising the child's learning time at home by reminding children to learn at home and help children complete tasks. The role of Teachers in Home Learning Assistance for Students of Grades IV and V elementary schools affected by Covid-19 has been done very well, namely by conducting supervision such as monitoring the collection of tasks by students. Teachers carefully contact their students from online class groups that have been made so that online classes remain conducive like face-to-face classes such as in school. The form of online learning is carried out by teachers by preparing materials in accordance with the rpp that has been designed.
