Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of Madu Hutan Tesso Nilo packaging in its marketing activities. The study was conducted at the Asosiasi Petani Madu Hutan Tesso Nilo, in Pelalawan District. The variable packaging indicators used are material, label, c olor, and size. For marketing variables, there are also indicators used, namely product, pricing, promotion, and distribution. The type of research used is qualitative by prioritizing observation and interviews as data collection techniques. The sampling t echnique in this study uses purposive sampling that is sampling data sources with certain considerations as the person is considered to know the most about what we examine. While the data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative. Based on this an alysis technique, the researchers assessed and concluded that the Madu Hutan Tesso Nilo packaging had a role in its marketing activities, namely to maintain product quality, as a promotional medium through the labeling and product information as well as th e coloration of the packaging, as one of the considerations in pricing, and to facilitate the distribution process.
