Abstract

In this modern era, adolescent acquaintances have greatly exceeded the limits undertaken, so that a lot of drug abuse is abused by teenagers. Drugs basically contain substances that are efficacious for treatment in the medical field and in the scientific field. However, drugs have the power of addiction (addiction), tolerance (adjustment), and habitual power (habits) which are very strong, so that drug users can not be separated from their use. This is what forces its users to use it continuously outside of the interests of treatment and the provisions of the law. Therefore, this can no longer be said of use as a treatment, but rather drug abuse and the various types of consequences it causes, drug abuse must be addressed immediately because if this problem is not resolved immediately it will have a very bad and detrimental impact. Likewise, the abuse of addictive substances that occurs in Lubuk Dalam Subdistrict, Siak Regency by teenagers. This abuse has a very detrimental impact both in terms of physical and spiritual health. Because when this case is allowed to drag on, it will harm future generations of adolescents, don't teenagers as the future regeneration of the nation must have good morals and morals as well as prospective leaders who will lead in Lubuk Dalam sub-district and in Siak Regency and Country. The main problem in this research is, what are the factors that cause adolescents to abuse addictive substances in Lubuk Dalam District, Siak Regency, and how are government efforts involved in dealing with addictive substance abuse by adolescents in Lubuk Dalam District, Siak Regency. Judging from this type of research is classified into observational research, by means of a survey, which means looking at symptoms or phenomena that occur in the field, namely the factors of addictive substance use by adolescents in Lubuk Dalam District, Siak Regency and related government efforts in overcoming addictive substance abuse by adolescents. in Lubuk Dalam District, Siak Regency. Descriptive research means a research conducted with the aim of providing an objective description of a situation. From the research results, it can be seen that the factors of addictive substance abuse in Lubuk Dalam District, Siak Regency are family factors, social factors, environmental factors, and mass media factors. Government efforts related to overcoming the abuse of addictive substances are preventive measures, namely efforts made by means of socialization, and repressive measures, namely efforts made by confiscation and giving light sanctions.
