Abstract

ABSTRACT Aidul Fitra Nainggolan (154110122), this research is entitled: Application of Petrobio and Grand-K Biological Fertilizers to Increase Yield of Pare (Momordica charantia L.). Under the guidance of Mrs. Dr. Ir. Hj. Siti Zahrah, MP. This research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, for four months from September to December 2020. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of interactions and main effects of Petrobio biofertilizer and Grand-K fertilizer on the growth and yield of Pare plants. The design used was a factorial completely randomized design consisting of two factors. The first factor is Petrobio (P) biofertilizer, there are 4 levels: 0; 0.75; 1.50 and 2.25 grams per plant, the second factor was Grand-K (G) fertilizer consisting of 4 levels: 0; 2.50; 3.75 and 5 grams per plant. Parameters observed were flowering age, harvest age, number of fruit per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per fruit and number of remaining fruit from the plant. Observational data were analyzed statistically and continued with the further test of Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of petrobio biofertilizer and Grand-K significantly affected the parameters of flowering age, number of fruit per plant, fruit weight per plant, and fruit weight per fruit. The best treatment was a combination of Petrobio biofertilizer 2.25 grams per plant and Grand-K 5 grams per plant. The main effect of Petrobio biofertilizer was significant on all observation parameters. The best treatment was Petrobio biofertilizer at a dose of 2.25 grams per plant. The main effect of Grand-K is significant on all observation parameters. The best treatment is Grand-K at a dose of 5 grams per plant.
