Abstract

COMPARISON OF THE USE OF LEARNING VIDEO MEDIA WITH POWER POINT MEDIA ON STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES IN ECONOMIC LESSONS AT SMA PGRI PEKANBARU IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2020/2021 T. MUHAMMAD ZAKI ALJUFRI NPM. 166810273 ABSTRACT This study aims (1) Knowing To determine the learning outcomes of class XI SMA PGRI Pekanbaru who use video learning media; (2) knowing the learning outcomes of class XI SMA PGRI Pekanbaru using Power Point media; (3) Determine whether there is a difference between the use of Learning Video Media and Power Point Media on the learning outcomes of class XI students at SMA PGRI Pekanbaru. This type of research is an experiment using a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method (Quasi experiment) using a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study were all class XI students of SMA PGRI Pekanbaru in the 2019/2020 academic year consisting of 2 classes totaling 36 students, with a sample size of 18 students in class XI IPS 1 and 18 students in class XI IPA 1. The sampling technique used in this study is saturated sampling. Meanwhile, for data collection in this study using documentation and tests The research results obtained in both groups through inferential statistical analysis, the average learning outcomes of economics using Video Learning Media was = 81 (80.5), while the average learning outcomes of the group using PowerPoint media was = 86 (86.1 ). The results of the Independent Sample T test analysis show that the significance value obtained is 0.04 <0.05, this indicates that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is a positive influence and a significant difference from the application of Learning Video Media and Powerpoint Media on student learning outcomes on the Price Index and Inflation material for class XI SMA PGRI Pekanbaru
