Abstract

THE INFLUENCE OF PRACTICE EXPERIENCE (INDUSTRIAL WORK PRACTICES) ON WORK READINESS THROUGH WORK MOTIVATION IN CLASS XII STUDENTS OF TARUNA SATRIA VOCATIONAL SCHOOL, PEKANBARU, 2020/2021 ACADEMIC YEAR Firmansyah Gindo, Fitriani Riau Islamic University firmansyahgindo@gmail.com ABSTRACT The research was carried out with the aim of knowing the effect of internship experience (industrial work practice) on work readiness through motivation in class XII students of SMK Taruna Satria Pekanbaru in the 2020/2021 academic year. The research was conducted on 27 October 2020 until 5 November 2020. This research is a quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The sample in this study were students of class XII SMK Taruna Satria Pekanbaru, totaling 162 students from a total population of 270. Withdrawal of samples using the type of Probability Sampling with the technique of Random Sampling (Random). Collecting data using a questionnaire (questionnaire), documentation, and interviews. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis and path analysis. Based on the results of the study, it can be shown that the direct effect of Internship Experience (Industrial Work Practices) on Work Readiness shows the Correlation (R) of -0.157 and R-Square ( Coefficient of Determination ) of -0.116 or -12 % which states that Industrial Work Practice Experience has no influence on the Work Readiness of Class XII Students of SMK Taruna Satria Pekanbaru. While the indirect effect of Internship Experience (Industrial Work Practices) on Work Readiness through Work Motivation shows a number of 0,000 or less than 0.05, which indicates that the number is negative so that the Internship Experience variable does not indirectly affect Work Readiness.
