Abstract

This study aims to produce teaching materials based on a problem-based learning model oriented valid mathematical problem solving abilities. Teaching materials are a set of materials that are arranged in writing or not in writing which are used by the teacher to assist in carrying out teaching and learning activities. The teaching materials developed by researchers are the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) and Student Worksheets (LKPD). The development model used in this research is the ADDIE model which is modified into 3 stages, namely: (1) Analysis (analysis), (2) Design (design), (3) Development (development). In the ADDIE model, researchers did not use the Implementation and Evaluation stages because at this time it was still the Covid-19 pandemic. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis which describes the data that has been collected will test its validity. The validation of teaching materials was carried out by 4 validators consisting of 2 mathematics education lecturers at Riau Islamic University and 2 mathematics subject teachers at SMP Negeri 6 Siak Hulu. The results of the data obtained from the validation of teaching materials were then analyzed. From the research results, the results of the validation of the lesson plan for each aspect that were assessed and the overall lesson plan for each meeting had an average of 94.55% and 94.77% with a very valid level of validity. And for the results of the LKPD validation in terms of each aspect being assessed and the overall LKPD of each meeting had an average of 91.33% and 92.19% with very valid validity levels. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the development of teaching materials based on a problem-based learning model oriented to the mathematical problem solving abilities of students of class VIII SMP has gone through the correct process and the results are very valid or worthy of being used and tested.
