Abstract

This research was conducted in Kecamatan Tembilahan Kota. The object in this study is the Second Import Shoes Business in Kecamatan Tembilahan Kota. The purpose of this research is to find out how the implementation of accounting in Second Import Shoes Business and its conformity with the basic concepts of accounting that apply in running their business. This research is qualitative research. The population in this study amounted to 46 Second Import Shoes Business in Kecamatan Tembilahan Kota. The sample is selected by purposive sampling method. The type of data used is qualitative data. The data sources in this study are primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques through interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study is a descriptive analysis technique. The results of this study showed that the Second Import Shoes Business in Kecamatan Tembilahan Kota in running its business applied the cash basis of base recording. The Second Import Shoes Business in Kecamatan Tembilahan Kota has not implemented the concept of business unity, business continuity concept, side-by-side concept and time period concept. So it can be concluded that the implementation of accounting in the Second Import Shoes Business in Kecamatan Tembilahan Kota has not been in accordance with the basic concepts of accounting that apply.
