Abstract

Abstract Semiotic Analysis Of Immoral Values In The Joker Film Muhammad Alfarifqi 169110229 Film is an entertainment media used to filling an individual’s spiritual need in order to help them to feel good and not depressed about the demands of life. Through films, the principles and values of aesthetics, theories, and morals can be presented in their entirety in a way that is attractive and easy for the public to understand. Even so, there are still many films that show scenes that are not in accordance with the norms prevailing in society such as the Joker film. For this reason, this study aims to determine the amoral value contained in the Joker film. The researcher used Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic analysis approach to analyze the markers and markers displayed in each scene in the Joker film in order to draw conclusions about the amoral value displayed in the film. Based on the analysis conducted by researchers on each scene in this film, researchers found six types of amoral behavior such as bullying, verbal abuse, beatings, murder, pornography in the form of kisses (kissing), and scenes of riots that took place in the city of Gotham. Looking at the current development of films, it is hoped that the public will be wiser in choosing films to watch with their families, especially children, so that immoral behavior that is shown in a film is not used as a learning medium for children in the future.
