Abstract
Groundwater is one of the main water sources which is widely used by many people. However, the limited availability of ground water in Selat Baru Village, Bantan District, Bengkalis Regency is a problem for local residents. So this research aims to determine the distribution of resistivity values of the subsurface layers of the research area and resistivity valuesof the subsurface layers that containing groundwater along with its depth, so that it can make it easier for local people to get ground water that can be used for their daily needs. Research on the identification of groundwater aquifer zones was carried out using the resistivity geoelectric wenner configuration method as primary data and well logging data as supporting data. From data acquisition, analysis and interpretation, there are 3 dominant layers found in the research area, that is clay with resistivity value range from 0.0109 - 17.1 Ωm, silt with resistivity values ranging from 2.01 - 16.6 Ωm, and sand suspected to be aquifers containing groundwater with thickness around 15 to 20 meters below the surface.with a resistivity value ranging from 10.3 - 71.6 Ωm
