Abstract

This research aims to know the contribution of hand eye coordination to volleyball under-passing abilities in Extracurricular Students of SMP Negeri 1 Kampar, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. This type of research is correlational research, which is to find whether there is a relationship or some close relationship and be significant or not the relationship between variables followed by calculating the contribution of independent variable to the dependent variable, namely hand eye coordination as independent variable (X) and under passing as dependent variable (Y). The population of the research is all students of extracurricular SMP Negeri 1 Kampar, Kampar sub-district, Kampar regency with the sample male students by using total sampling of 20 students. The instrument of this research is coordination of hand eye test and under passing volleyball test. The result of the calculation of correlation using product moment correlation obtained rxy value of 0.743 a sufficient level of correlational relations category. The result of the contribution between the hand eye coordination variable for under passing with the value of rxy 0.5520 and the remainder is determined by other variables of 44.80%. Furthermore, in the level of significance test using t-test α = 0.05 with 4.7096> 2.101 then H0 is rejected, Results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that there is a significant contribution of hand eye coordination to volleyball under-passing on extracurricular students of SMP Negeri 1 Kampar, Riau Province by 55.20%.
