Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of halal samyang noodle labeling on consumer buying interest in Muslim Business Administration class of 2017 and 2018 Riau Islamic University. The research indicators used, namely, Halal Labeling Indicators include Knowledge, Trust, and Assessment of Halal Labeling. Indicators of Buy Interest include Transactional Interest, Reference Interest, Preferential Interest, and Explorative Interest. This type of research used is an associative approach, which is research that aims to determine the effect of two or more variables. The data used are primary and secondary data. This study used 197 population with 66 samples. Data analysis using simple linear regression analysis method that shows that halal labeling has a positive effect on consumer buying interest. Based on the results of the t test that halal labeling has a positive and significant effect. From the t test results obtained t count> t table (7.263> 1.669) and from the Coefficientsaa table obtained the value of halal labeling sig = 0,000 <0.05. And the R-Square value of 0.452 means that the labeling of halal noodles has an influence on consumer buying interest in Muslim students 2017 and 2018 Business Administration, FISIPOL UIR at 45.2% while the remaining 54.8% is influenced by other factors not examined in the study this. These factors can be brand factors, packaging factors, price factors and other reference factors that can attract consumers to buy samyang noodle products.
