Abstract

ABSTRACT UNGGE BOMBAN DANCE IN LANGGAM DISTRICT PELALAWAN DISTRICT, RIAU PROVINCE TRIWANA AZWIRANDA 166710070 The Ungge Bomban dance in Langgam District, Pelalawan Regency is an annual routine that cannot be separated from a traditional event held in Langgam District called Potang Mogang or Mandi Balimau, this event is suspected by the Pelalawan District Government in collaboration with the Langgam District community. This study will examine the description or description of one of the dance arts, namely how to implement the Tungge Bomban dance in Langgam District, Pelalawan Regency. The theory used in this study is the theory of dance according to Soedarsono (1978:21-36) about the elements in dance. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The results of this study indicate that the Ungge Bomban dance movement consists of 9 movements, each of which is combined with dancers. The floor design consists of 10 different patterns, namely straight lines, diagonal curves, and circles. The theme of this dance is about a fictional story that tells of seven heavenly princesses dancing in a pond. The accompaniment music used consists of drums, canangs and gongs which have various sounds as the accompaniment of the dance music. The dance property used is the shawl. The costume or clothing used by the kebaya. Makeup resembles a princess character. Then the staging system consists of a porcelain stage.
