Abstract
Siak Regency is one of the regencies with its capital city "Siak Sri Indrapura" in Riau Province. This district has since been known as the magnificent Kingdom of Siak. This can be proven by the many historical sites found in Siak Regency that exist today. This historical potential is one of the great assets for Siak District to develop Siak tourism. One of the leading tourist objects is the green pool. However, at this time the green swimming attraction is still lack of facilities and infrastructure in the tourist attraction. In addition, there is also a lack of supervision from the Regional Government. Though the tourist attraction is one of the mainstay attractions in Siak Regency. The purpose of this study is to find out the efforts of the Regional Government in developing green pond tourism objects, and to find out how big the role of the Regional Government in developing green pond tourism objects in Siak Regency. The type of this research is included in the descriptive type with a qualitative approach. The informants in this study were the Head of Tourism Marketing Strategy, Tourism Marketing Section Staff, Kerani Buantan Village, Juru Key Green Pool Attraction, Guest Book Officer, Green Pond Attractions, Community, and Visitors to Green Pond Attractions. The results showed that the development of green pool attractions by the Tourism Office can be determined by the six indicators, namely Market Share, Tourist Atraction, Accessibility, Facilities and tourist services, and Institutional Elements, namely the lack of facilities and infrastructure found in green pool attractions so that it does not add to the attraction of the tourist attraction, and the lack of supervision of the Tourism Office towards the development of green pond attractions.
