Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study is to find out how the prosecutor's strategy is to handle online trials of narcotics cases in children during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used in this research is a qualitative approach. In this research, the writer uses ethical theory to explain how the law is still enforced even though there is a covid-19 epidemic. The location of this research was conducted in Bangko District. The results of this study focused on the strategy of the Rokan Hilir state prosecutor in handling online trials of narcotics cases in children. Related to research on the prosecutor's strategy in handling online trials during the Covid19 case of narcotics in children. Based on the data obtained in the field, the Rokan Hilir state prosecutor's strategy in handling online trials of narcotics cases in children carries out an online trial that the defendant or child is allowed to use the zoom application using the facilities and infrastructure at the police / police place where the child is temporarily detained. The prosecutor is at the Rokan Hilir District Prosecutor's office and presents the witness to the nearest police or police station during the trial, still adheres to health protocols wearing masks and washing hands to break the chain of spread of Covid 19, if there is a network problem during the online trial, it will be postponed or repeated until normal network sound during the online trial.
