Abstract

This research was conducted to know the results of learning art and culture process (Kuala Deli dance) through Drill method of the second grade at SMP Negeri 4 Pekanbaru in academic years 2019/2020. This research was a classroom action research which used cycle, and was carried out in January to February 2020. The number Subject of this research 30 students of the second grade at SMP Negeri 4 Pekanbaru consisted 14 for Men, and 16 for women. The data was obtained using observation technique, test,practice and documentation to showed the results of learning process in art and culture subject (Kuala Deli dance) of the second grade at SMP Negeri 4 Pekanbaru in academic years 2019/2020. This is known from the number of students who reached the criteria minimum of mastery learning improve in cycle 1 (50%) consist 15 students and there is an improvement second cycle (87%) consist 26 students, From the data above, the researcher concludes that there is significant improvement in art and cultural students’ after applying Drill mtehod to students of the second grade at SMP Negeri 4 Pekanabaru academic years 2019/2020.
