Abstract
Abstract Analysis of Communication Ethics on Facebook Utilization Referring to Article 27 of the ITE Law (Study of Bengkalis Regency Students) RIZKY SA 169110231 This research is motivated by the freedom to use social media has shifted the values of norms and ethics in good communication, especially through social media Facebook by teenagers. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which the application of Article 27 of the ITE Act as the basis for communication ethics on social media facebook in adolescents. The method used in this research is qualitative with the research subject to students of SMAN 3 MANDAU class X (ten), collecting data using interviews, documentation and observation. The results showed that communication ethics and the application of Article 27 of the IT Law by teenagers through social media Facebook had not gone well. There are communication ethics that cannot be applied by teenagers, such as the use of harsh words, writing that uses decency, gambling, insults and defamation. There are communication ethics that can be applied by teenagers, namely not being provocative, decency elements in the context of pornography, not committing acts of extortion and threats. Teenagers are not aware of the element of violation of communication ethics on social media Facebook because it is considered a joke among friends and a form of intimacy. So that it is necessary to have an understanding and knowledge of the ethics of communication through social media which has been stated in the IT Law so that teenagers can use social media wisely and do not violate communication ethics.
