Abstract

This research aims to describe Zapin Tradition Dance Development in Sanggar Putri Melayu. Zapin Tradition Dance Development in Sanggar Putri Melayu in Lalang Village, Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency, Sri Indrapura. The theory used in this study is Urwich in Thoha (1989: 98). This is done by Sanggar Putri Melayu where the objectives are: (1) Coordinating the activities of implementing members so that diverse activities are coordinated in one direction or one goal, (2) Maintaining interpersonal relationships or communication between leaders and members, through coaching provided by superiors, can understand Exactly what is expected provided by superiors can understand exactly what is expected of him, (3) Educate or provide additional knowledge or experience for its members, (4) Supervision or control, coaching is intended to avoid deviations and directed towards organizational goals. This research uses a qualitative approach. This research takes the subject of Gusfahmi Romaizan AMd.Sn and concurrently the trainer as well as the Chairperson of Sanggar Putri Melayu. Data collection techniques carried out by (1) observation, (2) interviews, (3) documentation. The formulation of the problem of this research is How is the Development of Tradition Zapin Dance in Sanggar Putri Melayu in Lalang Village, Sungai Apit District, Siak Sri Indrapura Regency. Schedule of dance material every week. The development of the Zapin Tradition Dance at the Sanggar Putri Melayu needs to be done in order to help build a variety of intelligence for members of the character studio. In addition, dance guidance is needed to build the identity of the studio members as the next generation of the nation with character.
