Abstract

Dangkong Joget Creation Dance Performance is a typical dance in Riau Islands Province. Dangkong dance or familiarly known as Joget Dangkong is a dance originating from Karimun Regency, especially in Moro District. This study is titled "Performing Dangkong Joget Creation Dance in Karimun Regency, Riau Islands Province". The problem in this study is How is the Dangkong Joget Creation Dance Performance in Karimun Regency, Riau Islands Province? This study aims to determine Dangkong Joget Creation Dance Performance in Karimun Regency, Riau Islands Province. The theory used in this study is the theory put forward by Soedarsono (1998: 271). The method used by the authors is a qualitative approach which is also called naturalistic research. This research was conducted in February 2020 at the Angsana Dance Community in Karimun Regency. The research subjects consisted of l0 people, I coreographer and studio leader, 1 composer, I musician, ffid 7 dancers. The main instruments are researchers with supporting instruments such as stationery and cameras. Data collection techniques carried out by means of literature study, observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis by means of data reduction, data display (data display) and drawing conclusions or verification. The results showed that in a Joget Dangkong performance there were several elements as follows: 1) Motion, 2) Music / accompaniment 3) Floor design, 4) Theme, 5) Makeup, 6) Costume, 7) Lighting / lighting, 8) Stage, 9) Audience.
