Abstract

This study is entitled "Pongian Silek Performing Arts in the Datuok Palo Panglimo Kampa Coronation Tradition Event in Sawah Baru Village Kampa District Kampar Regency" ? The purpose of this study was to determine the art of performing pongian silek at the coronation of datuok palo panglimo kampa in the new paddy village of Kampa sub-district of Kampar district. The theory used is the theory of Blezek and Aversa (2002: 24) about the theory of performance, saying that a performance has three elements, namely: 1) Something that is shown, 2) Actors who show something that is individually or in groups, 3) Audience is heard and witnessed. Sources and types of data are primary data and secondary data. In this case using primary data through direct observation interviews or using books and cameras to document. The method used is descriptive analysis method based on qualitative data using data collection techniques by means of interviews and documentation, the study sample consisted of 5 people, 1 martial arts teacher, 1 ninik mamak, 1 person inaugurated, 2 spectators. The speakers are Datuk Najin as a pongian silek teacher, data collection techniques are interviews, observation, and documentation. Based on the findings of the Pongian Silek Performing Arts research conducted at traditional events in Kampar such as the coronation of ninik mamak, welcoming guests and also as entertainment in certain events. The movement patterns of Silent Pongian: 1. Greetings Salam sombah or worship, 2. Sweeping Motion 3. There is no sweeping motion. 4. Movement of Suntiong 5. Movement of Paddy palito, 6. Elbow-angled movement 7. Movement of greeting sombah silek is accompanied by typical music of Kampar namely calempong oguong.
