Abstract

This research is motivated by the problems in the dance learning process activities that there are many students who are less interested and pay less attention to dance lessons, on average they are still below the KKM, when doing dance practice students are mostly playing around in motion, while the role of this teacher is the teacher as a demonstrator, class manager, mediator and facilitator, evaluation and efforts of teachers in overcoming learning difficulties is data collection, data processing, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, evaluation. This study aims to determine the role of teachers in overcoming students' learning difficulties in class X dance lessons at SMAN 1 Mandau, Mandau District, Bnegkalis Regency, Riau Province in 2019/2020 Academic Year. This research method is a descriptive analysis research method using qualitative data is research that carries out the analysis and interpretation of texts and interviews with the aim of finding the meaning of a phenomenon. The subjects of this study were 1 art and culture teacher and 36th grade students totaling 36 students. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the role of the teacher in overcoming student learning difficulties in dance subjects at SMAN 1 Mandau is already good.
