Abstract

Communication in educational terms is known as instructional communication (instructional communication) which is a process of traveling messages or information that includes educational events, which aims to improve the quality of student thinking (communicant) in conditioned instructional situations. This research method uses qualitative methods, while the subjects in this study are 10 informants consisting of 5 teachers and 5 students. The object of this research is instructional communication at SMK HasanahPekanbaru. The results show that instructional communication at SMK HasanahPekanbaru has been running effectively but not so optimally known from the contents and objectives in providing the material and usage provided. the strategies and methods used in learning that have been adapted to the learning material that will be delivered. The implementation of instructional communication has taken place effectively where the teacher as a communicator has involved several learning elements and components in instructional communication are seen from the teacher as a communicator providing material, learning implementation using appropriate media as a supporting tool in learning. and concludes by giving questions / feedback from students as communicants to achieve the objectives of learning because there are still obstacles in instructional communication such as barriers to the source, barriers to the channel and barriers to the communicant. But the teacher (communicator) has tried to overcome these obstacles by providing motivation and encouragement to students.
