Abstract
This study aims to improve the learning process and improve students' mathematics learning outcomes in the material Pythagorean Theorem at class VIII 3 Pekanbaru State Junior High School 12 which consists of 32 students consisting of 14 male students and 18 female students. The form of this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of two cycles. Instrument data collection is the observation sheet and student learning test. Technique Data collection in this study is in the form of test techniques and observation techniques. The data analysis technique in this study is the data analysis of teacher and student activities and analysis of learning outcomes. The results showed that there was an improvement the learning process and improve the learning outcomes of class VIII students Junior high school Negeri 12 Pekanbaru. This can be seen from the presentation of mathematics learning outcomes students before action, cycle I, and after cycle II. Before action, the average student mathematics learning outcomes are 77.06. After being given an action, increased to 77.38 at the end of cycle I, and at the end of cycle II increased to 97.91. So that it can be concluded that the application of the model TAI type cooperative learning can improve the learning process and improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class VIII students 3 Public Middle School 12 Pekanbaru in the even semester of the 2017/2018 academic year.
