Abstract

Cultural heritage is a cultural heritage of material properties, in the form of building objects, structures, sites, and areas of cultural heritage on land or in water that need to be maintained. The purpose of this study is to determine the strategy of the head of the Tourism and Culture Office of Kuantan Singingi Regency. The type of investigation in this thesis is a qualitative descriptive interview technique that was obtained during the study and then for further processing and analysis. The informants of this study were the Head of the Tourism and Culture Office of Kuantan Singingi Regency. So the authors can conclude that the strategy of the Department of Tourism and Culture of Kuantan Singingi Regency in the development of Cultural Heritage is less than optimal / disagree, this can be known from the answers of informants related to research and related factors. The Head of the Kuantan Singingi Regency Tourism and Culture Office in developing Cultural Heritage in Kuantan Singingi Regency is lack of socialization and does not function in the Kuantan Singingi District Service and Culture Office so that the public does not know how the main tasks, functions and shortcomings of Kuantan Singingi Regency are.
