Abstract

Bono tourism object in the Kampar Teluk Meranti river has long been known by the surrounding community and people outside the area. The potential for developing one of these special interest tourism destinations is huge because not only the arrival of world-class surfers also invites the interests of surfer families to enjoy the beauty of the village of Teluk Meranti that has not been touched by modernization. Local Government Innovations in Bono Tourism Management. The purpose of this research is to find out how the role of local government in the innovation of Bono tourism object development and to know the inhibiting factors of local government in the innovation of Bono tourism object development, and what are the obstacles in the development of Bono tourism. The method in this study uses the theory of Sangkala (2013), a qualitative type with a descriptive method, which prioritizes the list of interviews as a data collection tool and makes observations and documentation, and uses the Snowball Sampling technique. The results showed that the Pelalawan Regency government innovation in the management of bono tourism in the Kampar river can be said to be less than optimal, this can be seen from the 5 indicators that the authors have established, namely Integrated Services, Service Desntralization, Utilization of Cooperation, Utilization of Citizens, Utilization of Communication Technology and Information. Inhibiting factors in the implementation of this policy are, there is still lack of attention from the local government in the development of bono tourism objects, and the lack of facilities and infrastructure contained in bono attractions.
