Abstract

ABSTRACT Aris Sunandar (164110029), This research entitled: Effect of Oil Palm Empty Bunch Compost (TKKS) and Boiler Ash on Growth and Production of Green Beans (Vigna radiata L.) in Red Yellow Podsolic Soil. Under the guidance of Mrs. Dr. Ir. Siti Zahrah, MP. This research has been carried out on Jalan Kartama, Gg. Bamboo, Maharatu Village, Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. This study aims to determine the interaction and main effect of various doses of OPEFB compost and boiler ash on the growth and production of mung bean on red yellow podzolic soil. The design used in this study was a completely randomized factorial design consisting of two factors. The first factor is the Compost of Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunches (K) which consists of four levels: 0, 25, 50, 75 grams per plant and the second factor is Boiler Ash (A) which consists of four levels: 0, 12.5; 25.0; 37.5 grams per plant. Parameters observed were plant height, relative growth rate (LPR), net assimilation rate (LAB), flowering age, dry matter filling speed (KPBK), harvest age, weight of seeds planted, and dry weight of 100 seeds. Observational data were analyzed statistically and continued with further BNJ test at 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of providing empty palm oil bunches (TKKS) and boiler ash significantly affected all observation parameters, namely plant height, relative growth rate (LPR), net assimilation rate (LAB), flowering age, dry matter filling speed (KPBK). ), age of harvest, weight of seeds planted, and dry weight of 100 seeds. The best treatment was found at a dose of 75 grams of empty oil palm fruit bunches (TKKS) compost per plant and 37.5 grams of boiler ash per plant (K3A3). The main effect of oil palm empty fruit bunch (TKKS) compost was significant on all observation parameters. The best treatment was found at a dose of 75 grams of empty oil palm fruit bunches (TKKS) compost per plant (K3). The main effect of real boiler ash on all observation parameters. The best treatment was at a dose of 37.5 grams of boiler ash per plant (A3).
