Abstract

This research was carried out for 20 days starting from April 2021 at the Microalgae Nutrition and Fish Feed Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru. This study aims to determine the effect of leachate administration with different doses of fermented EM4 on the abundance of Chlorella sp. The method used is an experimental method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments with 3 replications, namely P1 giving leachate at a dose of 5%, P2 (10%), P3 (15%), P4 (20%) and P5 (25%). The results showed that the abundance of Chlorella sp the highest was obtained at P5 with a dose of 25% at 7.311.111 cells/mL, with a peak on the 16th day. The lowest abundance was at P1 with a dose of 5% at 2.563.889 cells/mL, with a peak on day 6, the highest specific growth rate was at P1 (5%) at 0.195 cells/day and the lowest was P4 (20%) at 0.077 cells/day. The highest biomass was at P5 (25%) of 0.44 g/L and the lowest was at P1 (5%) of 0.17 g/L. Water quality was obtained with temperatures ranging from 28-29oC, pH 4.63-7.72, nitrate content ranging from 0.8875-0.2521 mg/L, phosphate 5.8518-4.5243 mg/L, BOD 4.080- 5.304 mg/L, COD 88.46-94.60 mg/L, iron and manganese < 0.20 mg/L.
