Abstract
The aim of the study was to determine the effect of different stocking densities on the growth and survival of snakehead fish (Channa striata). The method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications, namely, P1 (Treatment with a stocking density of 5 birds/20 liters), P2 (Treatment with a stocking density of 10 birds/20 liters), P3 (Treatment with a stocking density of 10 birds/20 liters). 15 birds/20 liters) and P4 (Treatment with a stocking density of 20 birds/20 liters), P5 (Treatment with a stocking density of 25 birds/20 liters). The test fish used were snakehead fish fry aged ± 1 month with an average weight of 0.9 g and an average length of 4 cm. Snakehead fish seeds were obtained from Teropong Street, Sidomulyo Barat Village, Tampan District, Pekanbaru, Riau. The container used is an aquarium of 15 pieces. From the research results obtained the best percentage of survival in all treatments that is equal to 100%. treatment P1 which weighs 1.98 g and length 2.62 cm, treatment P2 which weighs 1.87 g and length 2.37 cm, then treatment P3 weighs 1.62 g and length 2.17 cm, and treatment P4 weighs 1.37 g and 1.93 cm long, and the lowest treatment was P5 with a weight of 0.68 g and a length of 1.33 cm. Air quality parameters such as temperature 25-32º C, pH 6-7 Dissolved oxygen 3.5-4.4 ppm and ammonia 0.0977-0.1993 ppm.
