Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of giving honey with different doses on the maleization of guppy fish (Poecilia reticulata) and to determine the best dose of maleization of guppies. The research method used is an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications, namely: P0 (control), P1 (5 ml/L), P2 (6 ml/L), P3 (7 ml/L). . P4 (8 ml/L). The test fish used came from Sutarno's guppies spawning located on Jalan Kartama Raya Marpoyan Damai. The container used is a jar with a capacity of 10 liters as many as 15 pieces. The results obtained, for the best male guppy fish found in P1 (5 ml/L) has a percentage of 100%. Meanwhile, for larval survival, the best treatment was found in treatment P0 (Control) which had a percentage of 96%. The results of the measurement of water quality parameters during this study. temperature ranges from 270C-300C, pH 5.2-7.5, ammonia between 0.06-0.17 and DO ranges from 3.31-6.83.
