Abstract

Crime is an act of behavior that violates the law, where crime is always increasing because it develops in line with the development of an increasingly complex level of human civilization, one of the things that attracts quite a lot of attention which at this time there is the phenomenon of Covid'19. From the impact of the virus that attacked one in Pekanbaru City, the poverty rate increased because everyone was affected, one of which was the economic impact. In this study, researchers want to look at the Police Efforts in Combating Crime During the Covid 19 Pandemic (Case Study of the Bukit Raya Police, Pekanbaru). The purpose of this study is to see what police efforts are in dealing with crime during the Covid-19 pandemic (Case Study of Bukit Raya Police, Pekanbaru). Using qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. It was found that quite comprehensive crime prevention efforts that have been carried out by the Indonesian National Police (police of the Republic of Indonesia) ) as a law enforcer with a preventive method and still encounters several obstacles related to its effectiveness in preventing crime in Pekanbaru City.
