Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the Public Works Service Strategy in tackling abrasion in the Meranti Islands District and also describe the obstacles in its implementation. This study uses a Qualitative method with Descriptive analysis techniques . This writing describes the condition of objects found in the field based on data data relating to existing problems in the Public Works Department of the Meranti Islands Regency related to the Public Works Service Strategy in tackling abrasion, with Inte rviews and Observation as a data collection tool, and the data collected is then presented as the main raw material for analyzing the Empirical conditions and the objectivity of the existence and purpose of research at the location in scrutiny. There are 5 groups being the object of research. Writing Consists of the same Primary Data obtained through research tools in the form of interviews and Observation and Secondary Data obtained from interviews in accordance with the results of the study obtained concl usions, namely in the Public Works Agency Strategy in tackling abrasion in the Kepulaua Meranti Regency in the category of Not Implemented where Not Yet the construction of Turap and Mangrove Forest Planting on the coast as a form of abrasion prevention
