Abstract
THE RELATIONSHIP OF METACOGNITIC AWARENESS WITH GENDER BASED LEARNING OUTCOMES AT THE SECOND GRADE OF SCIENCE MA DAREL HIKMAH IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2019/2020 SITI FARIKHAH VIANA NPM 156510518 Athesis Of Biology Education Study Program Faculty Of Teachers Training and Education Universitas Islam Riau Advisor: Dr. Sri Amnah, M.Si. ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between metacognition awareness and learning outcomes based on gender in the second grade of science MA Darel Hikmah Academic Year 2019/2020. The research was conducted on October - November 2019. This research is a correlational study and data collection uses a questionnaire, observation, interviews and documentation. The sample in this study were 52 students based on gender, consist of male and female. The data analysis in this study used the Person Product Moment correlation analysis technique. The result of the data showed that the female gender, metacognition awareness (X), and learning outcomes (Y) have a high relationship (0,601). In male gender students, metacognition awareness (X) and learning outcomes (Y) had a high enough relationship (0,481). For the significant test value based on female gender tcount (4,11)> t table (2,04). For the significant test value based on male gender t count (2,32)> t table (2,10). The results showed that there was a significant relationship between metacognition awareness and learning outcomes based on gender in the second grade of science MA Darel Hikmah in the 2019/2020 academic year.
