Abstract

ABSTRACT APRIANSYAH (164310201) "TEST OF SECONDARY METABOLITE EXTRACTS OF BACTERIA COMING FROM THE INTESTS OF BROKE FISH (Hypostomus plecostomus) AGAINST PATHOGENIC BACTERIA" under the guidance of Mr. Dr. Jarod Setiaji, S.Pi, M.Sc. This research was conducted for 30 days at the Laboratory of Fish Seed Center (BBI) Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Pekanbaru. This study aimed to determine the antibacterial activity of the secondary metabolite extract of B. megaterium from the intestines of broomfish against the growth of pathogenic bacteria (Vibrio alginolyticus, Aeromonas hydrophila Pseudomonas aeruginosa). The method used is an exploratory method with 5 treatments and 2 repetitions, namely P1 (100 ppm concentration), P2 (250 ppm concentration), P3 (500 ppm concentration), P4 (750 ppm concentration) and P5 (1000 ppm concentration). Phytochemical test of secondary metabolites of B. megaterium bacteria produced saponins and terpenoids. The secondary metabolite extract of B. megaterium bacteria can inhibit the growth of pathogenic bacteria, with a moderate category at P4 (750 ppm concentration) and a strong category at P5 (1000 ppm concentration).
