Abstract

The Community-Based Water Supply and Sanitation Program, abbreviated as PAMSIMAS, is a joint program between the government, local government and the community involving various stakeholders at the provincial, district/city to village/kelurahan and community levels. The practice of clean and healthy living in the community increases the number of people who have access to sustainable drinking water and sanitation. In the village of Medan City, Kelayang District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, it has been running since 2019 and the number of families using PAMSIMAS facilities is currently 10 families with 57 people. the community also uses drilled wells, dug wells and ring wells and the Kuantan river. From the results of initial observations, the researchers observed that there were phenomena in the implementation of the PAMSIMAS program, namely: Lack of public awareness about the importance of disposing of feces in a safe place/in healthy latrines and lack of drinking water facilities so that it was not sufficient for drinking water during the dry season. used is descriptive method with quantitative. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the PAMSIMAS program in the Medan City Village has been running well or is Cuku Terlaksana seen from the indicators of the success of the program implementation, namely the input, output and outcome processes. The inhibiting factors that arise tend to be problems, such as in the process of developing the Pamsimas program, it is difficult for the weather factor during the construction of facilities and the lack of a sense of community cooperation towards program development.
