Abstract

Wahyu Sutrisno Utomo (164110230) research with the title "The Effect of POC Sorted Watermelon and Dolomite on the Growth and Production of Melon Plants (Cucumis melo L.)". This research has been carried out at UIRA Farm Agro, Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, for 3 months from November 2020-January 2021. The study used a Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is the POC of sorting watermelon (P) which consists of 4 levels, namely 0, 45, 90 and 135 ml/liter and the second factor is the dose of Dolomite (D) consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 25, 50 and 75 g/plant. so that obtained 16 treatment combinations and 3 replications. Each experimental unit consisted of 4 plants, 2 plants were sampled. Parameters observed were flowering age, harvest age, fruit diameter, fruit weight per fruit, fruit thickness and sugar content (% brix). The data were analyzed statistically and continued at the BNJ level of 5%. Based on the results of the research, sorting watermelon and dolomite gave a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment combination was giving POC of watermelon with 135 ml/liter and dolomite 75 g/plant (P3D3). The main effect of POC sorting watermelon has a significant effect on all observation parameters, the best treatment is at a dose of 135 ml/l water (P3). The main effect of dolomite administration was real on all observation parameters, the best treatment was at a dose of 75 g/plant.
