Abstract
Regarding the objectives of the BPD, it has been regulated in Permendagri No. 110 of 2016 concerning the Village Consultative Body which has the function of discussing and agreeing on the Draft Village Regulation with the Village Head, accommodating and channeling the aspirations of the Village community, and also supervising the performance of the Village Head. Furthermore, the duties of the BPD in the second part of article 32, one of which is to explore, accommodate and channel the aspirations of the community. Meanwhile, the role of the BPD has not been optimal as seen from the demands of the residents of Tambun Village on the ineffective performance of the local BPD institution, the poor performance of the BPD occurs because the duties and functions as well as responsibilities are not carried out as mandated by the legislation, one of the functions that What is not implemented is the absorption of the aspirations of the community and conveying the aspirations of the village community to the village government both in official and unofficial forums. The formulation of the problem in this study is: "How is the role of BPD in channeling community aspirations in the field of development in Teluk Bakau Village, Kuala Kampar District, Pelalawan Regency". The purpose of this study is to find out and explain how the role of BPD in channeling community aspirations in the field of development and to find out the obstacles. This type of research is a descriptive survey with qualitative and quantitative. The population and samples are the Head of the BPD, the Village Head, Members of the BPD and the Community. the final conclusion can be concluded that the role of BPD in channeling the aspirations of the community in the field of development has not run optimal.
