Abstract
Handling of waste in the community is still a serious problem where garbage is still scattered without any serious handling from the Regional Government. The handling of waste in Rengat District has not been carried out optimally by the Environmental Service of Indragiri Hulu Regency so that there is still a lot of garbage scattered about because the transportation of waste has not been carried out every day. The policies of the Environmental Service of Indragiri Hulu Regency in handling waste include Effectiveness, Efficiency, Adequacy, Equity, Responsiveness and Accuracy. The purpose of this study was to determine and the inhibiting factors of Task Evaluation in the Waste Management Division of the Environmental Service of Indragiri Hulu Regency in Waste Management in Rengat District. The research method used is a qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Discussion The handling of waste in Rengat District has not been carried out optimally, resulting in a buildup of garbage. Conclusion The task of the Environmental Service of Indragiri Hulu Regency in Waste Transportation in Rengat Subdistrict has been carried out but has not been maximized where it is known that the time of transporting waste is not on time, there is no additional trash can so that garbage can be accommodated entirely, causing the accumulation of garbage not in its place. Researchers suggest that the Environmental Service of Indragiri Hulu Regency collects garbage every day, adds scavengers, increases the number of garbage collectors, and provides sanctions for those who litter.
