Abstract

ABSTRACT PUTRI MARINA KUSWARI (164310384) "ANTAGONISM OF BACTERIA COMING FROM THE INTELLIGENCE OF BROKE FISH (Hypostomus plecostomus) AGAINST PATHOGENIC BACTERIA" Under the guidance of Mr. Dr. Jarod Setiaji, S.Pi, M.Sc. This research was carried out from August to September 2020 at the Microbiology Laboratory of the Fish Seed Center (BBI) Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru. The PCR test was carried out at the Molecular Biology Laboratory, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Riau University and the sequencing analysis was carried out at PT. Genetics Science Indonesia, West Jakarta. The purpose of this study was to determine the inhibition of bacteria from the intestines of broomfish (Hypostomus plecostomus) against the growth of pathogenic bacteria Aeromonas hydrophila, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Vibrio alginolyticus. The research method used is the exploratory method. The results obtained 5 bacterial isolates from the intestines of broomfish. The inhibitory power in the antagonist test, B4 bacterial isolates against the growth of the three pathogenic bacteria was quite strong. B3 bacterial isolates were classified as strong against the growth of pathogenic bacteria A. hydrophila and P. aeruginosa and moderately against the growth of V. alginolyticus bacteria. Bacterial isolate B1 was classified as strong against the growth of P. aeruginosa and V. alginolyticus bacteria and moderately against the growth of A. hydrophila bacteria. Isolation of B2 bacteria against the growth of the three pathogenic bacteria was classified as moderate. Bacterial isolate B5 was classified as strong against the growth of V. alginolyticus and moderate against P. aeruginosa and A. hydrophila bacteria. The results of the BLAST system search, isolate B1 had similar DNA with Bacillus paramycoides. Isolate B3 with Bacillus sp. and isolate B4 with Bacillus megaterium.
