Abstract

ABSTRACT THE INFLUENCE OF DEMONSTRATION METHOD ON STUDENTS’ LEARNING CONCENTRATION IN ISLAMIC EDUCATION LESSON AT JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL 3 LIRIK INDRAGIRI HULU REGENCY AYIR YANTI NPM : 172410034 Demonstration method is a teaching way to show lesson material which is followed by behavior performance which is modelled by teacher and students that simulated in real to have maximal understanding and skill according to indicators and learning objectives. Concentration is a mind focus on something with ignoring other thing that is not connected to. Based on preliminary study done in junior high school 3 Lirik, the constrain that caused students did not have concentration when study that was lack of acceptance or attention to material, they did not respond material. Did not appropriate body movement based on teacher instruction, could not applied and analyze knowledge, could not convey idea, they were not ready in accepting knowledge, they were not interest in subject, they were bored in learning process, the constrain also happened in junior high school Lirik Indragiri Hulu Regency. Based on that, writer conducted this research to class VIII students with the research purpose examined to know that was there aby influence od demonstration method on students’ learning concentration at junior high school 3 Lirik Indragiri Hulu Regency. Simple regression analysis with significant score smaller than 0.05 where p= 0.000<0.05, Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, it could be meant that there was any influence of demonstration method on students’ class VIII learning concentration at junior high school 3 Lirik Indragiri Hulu Regency. The influence between variable X (demonstration method) and variable Y (learning concentration) in 0.442 or 44.2%, it was classified into range 0.40-599 in strong enough influence. In other words, the influence of demonstration method on students’ learning concentration at junior high school 3 Lirik class VIII Indragiri Hulu Regency classified into “strong enough”.
