Abstract

One of the issues in the Pekansikawan Region is the uneven economic growth of the Pekansikawan Region which is only centered in Pekanbaru City, so that it will influence Pekanbaru City to continue to develop, due to the attraction and encouragement of people outside Pekanbaru to continue looking for jobs, continue their studies, investing and will affect the surrounding districts/cities slowly to develop. The purpose of this study was to determine the economic disparity of the Pekansikawan Region, to find out how much the level of disparity occurred. This research uses a rationalism approach that is based on empirical and ethical theories and truths. The analysis technique used is the Williamson Index and the Klassen Typology assisted with Arc GIS and SPSS mapping applications. The results of this study indicate that there are differences in economic growth in each sector in the Employees region and the level of disparity that has not been too high over the past five years and there are patterns of disparity between regions in each sector with different levels of disparity
