Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of shoulder arm muscle power and back muscle flexibility with the results of shot put on students in the SMA Negeri Olahraga Riau. The type of this research is correlation. The research subjects in this study were 22 students from SMA Negeri Olahraga Riau. The research instruments used were arm muscle power tests: two hand medicine ball put, body flexibility test, shot put test. The data analysis technique used is to calculate the correlation value. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that there is a contribution of shoulder arm muscle power and flexibility of back muscles to the shot put on students in the SMA Negeri Olahraga Riau with a calculated value = 0.880 or with a contribution value of 77.44%.
