Abstract

This study aims to determine whether through training using the media of hoops can improve the abilitiy of free throw shooting on female students participating in basketball extracurricular activities at SMA Negeri 1 Kuantan Mudik. This research ini experimental research with the design used is one group pretest-post test design. The population in this study were 20 basketball extracurricular basketball participants in SMA Negeri 1 Kuantan Mudik. The instrument used was shooting 10 times. Data analysis technique using hypothesis testing with t analysis (paired sample t test). The results of the analysis showed that : there was a significant influence between the practice of using the media of the hoop and the ability to shoot free throws on female students participating in basketball extracurriucalr activities at SMA Negeri 1 Kuantan Mudik. From the t test data it can be seen that the value of t counts (10,466) > t table (2,093), then there are differences in the ability to shoot free throw. So it can be concluded that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, that there was an effect between training using hoops media on the ability to shoot free throw on female students participating in basketball extracurricular activities at SMA Negeri 1 Kuantan Mudik.
