Abstract

Early childhood is a child who is in the age of 0 to 8 years. Where in this phase children experience a very rapid growth and development process, early childhood is a candidate for the next generation of the nation and state. For the cultivation of religious character from an early age, it is hoped that it can form people with character, good personality and character and have functional values for themselves, religion, family, society, nation and state. This study aims to determine the formation of religious character in Islamic Kindergarten YLPI Marpoyan. The method used in this study is a qualitative method, through the process of data analysis including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The subjects in this study were 5 people, 4 class teachers and 1 school principal. The research location is at YLPI Islamic Kindergarten Marpoyan Pekanbaru, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution KM 11 Perhentian Marpoyan Pekanbaru Riau. The results of this study indicate that the formation of religious character in YLPI Marpoyan Islamic Kindergarten can be said to be successful. With the models carried out by schools in the formation of religious characters such as refraction, routine activities and environmental conditioning.
