Abstract

The use of activated carbon coconut shell serves as a filtration medium in the production water. With coconut shell activated carbon can make the water content is better produced, so it can serve as the use of water injection plant or streamed to the environment. In this research coconut shell carbon is in chemical axon by using HCL 15%. After the activated Carbon Coconut shell has been completed in subsequent activation insert the activated carbon of the coconut shell into the filter catridge and filter housing. Installation of equipment in the water cleaning plant in the flow skimming tank. Sampling is performed every 3 hours for 3 days. In the filtration test of carbon shell Actid, get a reduction in turbidity meter from 4.65 NTU to 2.97 NTU, oil content from 64.8 ppm to 23.5 ppm, dissolve oxygen from 15 ppb increased to 30 ppb, ph from 8.22 to 8, salinity from 6.7 mg/L to 4.2 mg/L, conductivity from 11.82 to 7.64, total iron from 0.04 ppm to 0.02 ppm, TDS from 6.52 mg/L to 4.09 mg/L
