Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the effect of interaction and the main factors of solid and ash from palm oil bunches on the growth and production of shallots. Roy naldi (164110323) research entitled the effect of solid and ash from palm oil bunches on the growth and production of shallots. This research has been carried out in the garden of UPT Teropong jl. Kubang Jaya, Siak Hulu sub-district, Kampar district. The study was carried out from March 2021 to June 2021. The design used in this study was a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors, the first factor was the provision of solid compost (Factor H) consisting of 4 levels of treatment and the provision of coconut ash. Palm oil (Factor U) consisted of 4 treatment levels, so there were 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications, so there were 48 experimental units. Each unit consisted of 4 plants and 2 plants were used as samples, resulting in a total of 192 tubers. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, age of harvest, number of tubers, wet weight of tubers per plant, dry weight of tubers per plant and tuber weight loss. Observational data were analyzed statistically and continued with the BNJ further test at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of Solid and palm ash ash had a significant effect on all observed parameters. The best treatment was a dose of 540 g/polybag and palm ash 0.5 kg/polybag (H3U2). The main factor is solid for all observation parameters. The best treatment was found at a dose of 540 g/polybag (H3). The main factor of oil palm bunch ash was significant for all observation parameters. The best treatment is a dose of 0.5 kg/polybag (U2).
