Abstract

ABSTARCT Over time, in general, heirlooms must be protected and receive considerable concern, namely Cultural Heritage. Cultural heritage is an area where the preservation of community life and life is protected by law from extinction, whereas according to Law Number. 11 of 2010, concerning cultural heritage, namely material cultural heritage in the form of cultural heritage objects, cultural heritage buildings, cultural heritage structures, cultural heritage sites and cultural heritage areas on land and or in water that need to be preserved because they have important historical values, science, education, religion, and or culture through a process of determination. The perpetrators often commit crimes against cultural heritage to take advantage of it because the cultural heritage has a very high value. Where law enforcers have efforts to tackle criminal acts against this Cultural Heritage which are in accordance with article 62 of Law Number 11 of 2010 concerning Cultural Heritage. The main problem in this research is related to what are the factors that cause the occurrence of crimes against Cultural Heritage in the jurisdiction of the Siak Police and how the efforts to combat Cultural Heritage crimes in the jurisdiction of the Siak Police. The type of research carried out directly in the field is observational research by conducting a direct survey in the field to obtain data, while the nature and this research is descriptive analytical by providing a complete, detailed, and clear description of a reality related to efforts to combat crimes against Reserves Culture in the jurisdiction of the Siak Police The factors that cause the occurrence of criminal acts against Cultural Conservation in the jurisdiction of the Siak Police are as follows 1. Economic factors where the Cultural Conservation has a high enough value or price, therefore the perpetrator is influenced to commit crimes against Cultural Conservation. 2. Lack of public awareness in maintaining and preserving the Cultural Heritage. Meanwhile, efforts to combat criminal acts against cultural heritage are carried out by the following processes: 1. There is a special police and civil service police who are patrolled to guard the Cultural Heritage 2. There is CCTV made by the Cultural Heritage agency the history museum party security for the Cultural Heritage.
