Abstract

The study was carried out for 60 days from September to November 2021. At the Fish Seed Center (BBI) Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru, the study aimed to determine the maturity level of goand puyu (A. testudineus). The method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications, namely, P0 treatment with 10 fish with a water level of 0.8 M, P1 treatment with 10 fish with a water level of 0.8 M, P2 treatment with 10 fish with a water level of 0.8 M, P3 treatment with 10 fish with a water level of 0.8 M, and P4 treatment with 10 fish with a water level of 0.8 M, the fish used was the parent quail female 4-5 months old. The gonadal maturity index (GIG) of quail during the study ranged from 3.08 to 4.85%. The highest fecundity value of quail was found in treatment P4 with an average number of 18,210 grains. And the lowest was in the P0 treatment with an average number of 8,015 items. P1 treatment with an average number of 10,120 items. P2 treatment with an average number of 11,050 items. P3 treatment with an average number of 16,450 items. Meanwhile, the highest quail egg diameter was in treatment P4 0.83 mm, the lowest was in treatment P0 0.63 treatment P1 0.67 mm treatment P2 0.70 mm and treatment P3 0.73. The efficient feed conversion was in the P0 treatment with the amount of 1.43. The gonadal development of quail was rapid in the P4 treatment with earthworm feeding in the hours: 7, 9, 12, 15, 18. The broodstock of the quail was obtained from the reed terraced road, Siak Hulu, Kampar Regency, Riau. The container used is cages with a size of 1x1x1 M as many as 16 pieces. Water quality parameters such as temperature 23- 33°C pH 6 Dissolved oxygen 6.9 ppm and ammonia 0.92 ppm.
