Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the interaction and main effect of POC Jengkol Skin and NPK 16:16:16 on the growth and production of red okra plants. This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of UPT UIRA Farm Agro, Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Jalan Teropong No. 62, Kubang Jaya Village, Kec. Siak Hulu, Kab. Kampar, Prov. Riau during March to June 2021. The design used in this study was a two-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD), the first factor was the administration of POC jengkol skin (K) which consisted of 4 levels, namely 0, 50, 100, and 150 cc/ l and the second factor is NPK 16:16:16 (N) fertilizer which consists of 4 levels, namely 0, 3.75, 7.5, and 11.25 g/plant. Parameters observed were plant height, flowering age, harvest age, number of fruit per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per plot, fruit length, and root volume. Observational data were statistically tested and further tested by 5% BNJ. The results showed that the interaction effect of POC Jengkol bark and NPK 16:16:16 had a significant effect on observations of plant height, flowering age, harvest age, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, and fruit weight per plot. The best treatment was a combination of POC Jengkol bark at a concentration of 150 cc/l and NPK 16:16:16 at a dose of 7.5 g/plant (J3N2). The main effect of Jengkol Peel POC has a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment was giving Jengkol Skin POC with a concentration of 150 cc/l (J3). The main effect of NPK 16:16:16 has a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment was administration of NPK 16:16:16 at a dose of 7.5 g/plant (N2).
